Assoc. prof. Maria Kamusheva holds a master’s degree in Pharmacy from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University-Sofia in 2011. In 2014, she defended her Ph.D. thesis “Pharmacoeconomics of the Treatment of Rare Diseases”. She has 8 years of practical experience in community pharmacy settings and almost 2 years in the field of clinical trials. Currently, assoc. prof. Maria Kamusheva works at the Department of Organization and Economics of Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Sofia. She carried out over 60 scientific publications (h-index=8; Web of Science, 2021) and participated in congresses, conferences, international training, national and international projects. Assoc. prof. Kamusheva is a member of ISPOR, Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union, Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Science Society, and Bulgarian Association of Drug Information. Seven pharmacy students defended their master thesis under her supervision. To the current date, she is supervising two Ph.D. students. Her scientific interests are related to pharmacoeconomics, drug utilization, rare diseases, orphan drugs, and pharmaceutical legislation.
