| Maria Dimitrova graduated Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Sofia in 2008. In 2012, she acquired PhD degree with dissertation on “Pharmacoeconomic analysis of the highly active antiretroviral therapy for the treatment of HIV/AIDS in Bulgaria”. Maria Dimitrova has also practical experience from leading pharmaceutical companies in the field of pharmacovigilance, medical affairs, pharmaceutical marketing and market access. She started working as senior assistant professor at the department “Organization and economy of pharmacy”, Faculty of Pharmacy, MU-Sofia in 2013. Since 2017, she is an associated professor. Maria holds a specialty on “Clinical pharmacy” and “Organization and economics of distribution and retail with medicines”. She is also specializing “Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy” at Medical University of Sofia. In addition, she has a master degree on “Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics” at Barcelona School of Management. Maria is conducting practicals and seminars on “Pharmacoeconomics”, “Social pharmacy and pharmaceutical legislation”, “Pharmacoepidemiology”, “Pharmaceutical care”, “Pharmaceutical business”, taught on English and Bulgarian. Moreover, she was also a supervisor of 2 master diploma theses. Maria is author / co-author in over 40 scientific papers in national and international journals, most of which with impact factor. Consequently, she has more than 240 citations in peer reviewed and indexed journals in JCR of ISI Web of Knowledge-Thomson Reuters. She is also member of the Bulgarian scientific pharmaceutical society, ISPOR, Bulgarian pharmaceutical union, Bulgarian scientific society of lung diseases, ISPOR and ISPOR Bulgarian chapter. Maria is also an expert in the field of pharmacoeconomics and pharmaceutical legislation. Her scientific and research work is focused on pharmacoeconomics, pharmaceutical legislation, health technology assessment, drug utilization, medication adherence and pharmacoepidemiology. |
