Urska Nabergoj Makovec graduated in 2013 under supervision of Professor Aleš Mrhar and Professor Natalie Medlicott from The School of Pharmacy, University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand. The master thesis title was: Evaluation of insulin treatment of neonatal hyperglycemia at the neonatal intensive care unit at Dunedin Hospital. After graduation, she applied for a PhD position at the Department of Social Pharmacy, to research implementation of pharmaceutical cognitive services based on medication review in Slovenia. She successfully defended her thesis in 2020 under supervision of Professor Mitja Kos. Since 2019 she works as a part time teaching assistant at the Department of Social Pharmacy and is involved in different educational and research activities within the Department. Currently, she is acting as the vice chair of the Working Group 2 at the COST Action ENABLE.
