Development and evaluation
Brief description of how the technology has been developed and evaluated (e.g. transparency, theory and evidence base, context compatibility, co-creation, scientific evaluation, etc.):
The Pill Connect product has undergone many rounds of development. Early versions were tested in trials with CROs, the NHS, major pharma companies and with the University of Groningen MAECON center. Pill Connect follows a certified ISO9001 quality management system and the design, development and manufacturing is controlled under this. The product has an extensive design history file. As the principal use is commercial clinical trials, Pill Connect partnered with a global CDMO to undertake independent usability and robustness testing. The product has several safety certificates including for child resistant and electrical safety.
