Albert’s health assistant reminds patients of their medication twice: once on time and once 15 minutes later. The patients are then asked to confirm that they have taken their medication. Patients who have not set up medication reminders are encouraged to do so. Personalized notifications are also used to educate patients about the importance of medication adherence. Patients can self-report their adherence or connect their device (e.g., a smart insulin pen) and sync data automatically. HCPs can view the patient adherence on a web panel and interact with the patient to motivate or give feedback.
